Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is probably his best known work, but he also pioneered the Humanistic Psychology movement. His timing was unfortunate, the world too corporate, however today...industry 4.0, may be the right time to make his visions a reality.

Abraham Maslow was a pioneer in the field of psychology during his life between (1908-1970). I personally remember him best for his Hierarchy of Needs that was taught to us in primary school, when I had very little appreciation for what it actually meant or how powerful his work was. As with most things in life, I went on to push it to the back of my mind, giving priority to school, relationships and work life as I became part of the rat race. I would very much like to throw a fist in the air and say to hell with the corporate machine, and as much as that is how I feel personally, the balance is that I am a speck on this planet, and can only influence the world as it is created in my own mind. That said, the machine was here when I arrived and will be when I am gone, so I do the best I can to enjoy the time that I have.
Maslow's work essentially gave birth to the 3rd force of psychology, Humanistic Psychology, which rather than focussing on studies done on control groups, psychoanalysis and all things wrong with a person for thinking the way they do, it focusses on the way we each experience reality, and emphasis is placed on upliftment of self.
In that spirit I have shared with you a link to a repository of his quotes. It is pointless and somewhat plagiaristic for me to type them out on a photo and post them here or on social media.
My personal favourite at the moment is:
“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”
― Abraham Maslow
