A New Approach to Mentorship

We combine the worlds of science and humanities by applying analytical engineering habits of mind in synergy with humanistic psychology and phenomenology to not just help you realise your potential, but to develop the potential that you need, to live the life that you want. We do not believe that who you are is set in stone, or that your future experience of being human is confined to your existing potential. We believe that you can achieve the life that you want, through an understanding that it is all about balance.

Evolutionary Growth Mindset: A Tale of Two Halves

Our founder did not know what it meant think in an evolutionary way or what having a growth mindset was. He had these ideas in his head. His mind busy all the time, but unable to put it all together. He tried psychologists, but did not get the guidance he was looking for until he met his own mentor who opened his mind and gave words to what he was thinking. Our founder reflected on his life and realised that he possessed a rare balance between the left and right hemispheres of the brain that he believes can be used to grow people. Despite having traversed the engineering landscape from technical and management perspectives it was his methods that saw people grow that gave him goosebumps. So he decided to expand on this, and develop a new take on mentorship, centred around humanism but supported by analytical methodology.

Tailored Mentorship to Fit Your Needs

  • Customised programmes to suite your team or organisations needs

  • Analysis of existing mentorship and development programmes to increase efficiency and efficacy

  • We do not subscribe to the 'batch training' approach which ends up becoming a tick-box exercise, our work is personal and designed to truly impact the people involved

  • We do not sell a training solution, we work with you to develop a growth path that fits your team and must be maintained to keep with the evolution of the world around it, either by yourself or assisted by us on ad-hoc basis.

In Every Journey, Roadblocks are to be Anticipated

Growth Inhibitors

Below are just a few of the thoughts that come to mind when I think about the trepidations faced by people in the workplace. These feelings are most often internalised and have the potential to do irreparable emotional and psychological damage. The question is becoming laboured. Why are skilled professionals leaving their positions and the country?

" These young people don't want to learn. The youth of today are entitled and don't work hard. " - Experienced professionals have negative predispositions.

" These old people, their mindsets and ways of working are obsolete. They don't want to teach us." - Younger employees do not understand why senior professionals are 'stuck in their ways.'

" Managers only care about KPI's and performance. I cannot be truly honest about what I want out of being here. What if it does not fit into their plan. I will be let go." - People are vulnerable about being honest, for fear of how it is received.

" Gender, cultural, racial and socio-economic barriers still exist. People are politically correct in what they say but do the opposite in how they act. " - Generation gap needs context to truly be bridged.

"My company acts as if they care for me and my development, but is it authentic if they are paying my mentor and pushing them with KPI's to develop me. My mentor and my company don't care about my growth, they care about their own pockets." - Yes, this is how the world works, but with the younger generations coming through, I see more humanity in their agenda than pursuit for monetary gains.
